United Airlines has signed a firm order for 25 Airbus A350-900 XWBs, formalizing
a commitment originally announced last December, the European manufacturer

Mar 10 - MARIETTA, Ga., March 10th, 2010 -- The Air Force Operational Test and
Evaluation (OT&E) Center has rated the Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] C-5M as
"effective, suitable and mission capable" based on results from OT&E testing
completed in January 2010.
Saab receives order for development of Gripen
Mar 10 - Defence and security company Saab has received an order from FMV (the
Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) concerning development of the existing
Gripen fleet. The order value amounts to SEK 2 billion for Saab, split over a
period of four years.
FAA FORECASTS GROWTH FOR GENERAL AVIATION
By 2030, the general aviation fleet will grow by about 50,000 airplanes and
52,000 active pilots, the FAA forecast this week. The forecast calls for robust

WASHINGTON, March 10 (Reuters) - The cost overrun on the main engine for the
Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N) F-35 fighter jet has grown by $600 million over the
past year, despite tough cost-cutting measures by engine maker Pratt & Whitney,
a unit of United Technologies Corp (UTX.N), a Navy document shows.
